Camping de Montolieu is a small, quiet, family campsite, located near the medieval city of Carcassonne. Passionate about the world of camping, we want to share our years of experience with our guests The welcome, the smile, the good mood, the conviviality are the key words at Camping de Montolieu. We are keen to share with you the discovery of this beautiful department which is the Aude, in particular of this Cathar Country which surrounds us. We can welcome you in French, English and Dutch, as well as in Spanish and German, but that might be a little funnier for you.
Campsite near The ‘Cité of Carcassonne’
When we were looking for a campsite, we were charmed by the village of Montolieu which has not yet finished showing all its secrets.
Opposite an organic market garden, Les Ares verts, and next to the vineyards, we felt welcome here, as you will when you arrive.
We found here at Camping de Montolieu what we were missing in the big campsites where we worked.
For nature lovers looking for well-being and tranquillity, we have designed our campsite as a haven of peace in a green setting.
The campsite invites you to spend your next holiday in the heart of nature. We provide campers with mobile homes and comfortable lodge tents as well as pitches for camper vans, caravans or tents. Our small family campsite attracts many hiking enthusiasts, bikers looking for the roads of the Montagne Noire, but also cyclists who can freely visit the area. Our nature campsite in Aude
Enjoy an exceptional setting near the beautiful village of books and arts, Montolieu. You will stay in an authentic family atmosphere, which will make your stay an unforgettable holiday.
At the campsite, you will find a playground for children as well as a pétanque court.
At the back of the campsite, you will find a tennis court and a football field open to everyone. We also offer indoor games as board games or table football for playing with all families.
Collectives barbecues are also available.
Snack bar at Montolieu campsite
Don’t feel like cooking? At the Montolieu campsite you will find something to please both young and old.
The snack/bar of the campsite offers you, among other things, its delicious tapas boards and home-made burgers.
You can wake up to the sound of the birds on the terrace bar of the campsite while enjoying a good breakfast.
Every morning, we offer breakfasts with delicious breads and pastries from the Laffont bakery in Moussoulens
Fancy a dessert?
We prepare ice cream, waffles or homemade desserts for you.
From 4 p.m., come and refresh yourself with an ice cream or a good beer from the region.
What could be better after a good day of walking and visits then enjoying an aperitif with friends or family at the campsites bar. You will have the choice between several tapas to share, as well as local beers and wines.

If, like many of our campers, you like being closer to nature, 40 spacious pitches at abailable for you. The Camping de Montolieu also offers you the possibility of booking your preferred camping pitch. You will have the choice of the location and stay in the open air in complete peace of mind.
Many of our pitches are shaded, you can easily settle in with your caravan, tent or motorhome to enjoy the sound of the song of the many birds.
We make every effort to allow you to enjoy the green natural setting.
